Who We Are
Our names are Scott and Tara Holliday, and we are the owners of K9 Solutions, Maryland branch. We have worked with dogs since the mid-1990s, and have helped many people with various forms of dog training ranging from basic obedience to advanced tracking and behavior modification. We offer a unique perspective on working with dogs of all types and temperaments.
Our Story
In 2011, we decided to expand our focus into obedience training. We began working with Jeff Turner of our sister branch in Ohio, and started exploring the idea of building a business of our own.
Around that time, we acquired a search and rescue dog named River, who inspired us to make our dream of owning our own training business a reality. After several years of hands-on training and mentorship with Jeff, we officially opened our own business in 2018.
Today, we train dogs in a wide range of disciplines, including obedience, man tracking, shed antler tracking, and blood tracking. We are certified balanced trainers who use positive, motivational-based methods that are proven to be effective in the canine world.
Above all, we are passionate about teaching owners how to train their own dogs. We believe every handler should become their dog's "own" trainer, building confidence, communication, and lasting results together.

In spring 2026, Jennifer presented K9 Solutions' first trick class, coaching several handlers and their dogs in fundamental K9 trick training skills.
